Sunday School:
10 am Eastern Time Zone

Location: 2330 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37421

County: Hamilton County

Geographical Proximity:
East Brainerd, Tyner. We are about 10 minutes northeast of the neighboring Ooltewah and Collegedale communities. North Georgia (Walker and Catoosa Counties) is 15 minutes south of us.

Phone: (423) 551-8633 voicemail, please leave a message.

Our new location, just south of Standifer Gap Road and east of Hickory Valley Road, is a testament to our community's resilience. After the Chattanooga Tornadoes of April 12, 2020, wholly demolished our former location on Shallowford Road, God, in His immense goodness, brought us here. This website has a live Google Map under the Contact form if you need further directional assistance.

Look for our roadside electronic street sign and a giant, concrete Jesus statue (placed there by previous building inhabitants).

At Faith Community Wesleyan Church-Chattanooga, we believe in harnessing modern tools to spread God's timeless message. As Proverbs 18:15 states, "An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge."

Here's how we thoughtfully integrate AI technology into our human-led ministry efforts:

Our Approach to AI-Assisted Content Creation:

Faith Community Wesleyan Church-Chattanooga embraces innovative technology to fulfill our mission of making Christ known to all who sincerely seek. We utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support our content creation process, always guided by our unwavering commitment to Biblical truth and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

How We Use AI:

  • Research and Ideation: AI assists in gathering information and generating initial ideas for our ministry content.
  • Content Development: We use AI to help draft and refine written materials, graphics, and multimedia for our church community.
  • Scripture Analysis: AI aids in comprehensive research for a wide variety of scriptural exploration including, but not limited to, comparative analysis and exegesis of scripture, original language studies, and much more to deepen our understanding.
  • Administrative Support: AI helps organize thoughts, structure content, and develop concepts for our church's content development, but always as an adjunct and subjection to, intentional prayer and guidance from the Holy Spirit with the bedrock of our belief in the inerracy and infallibility of God's word.

Our Guiding Principles:

  • Scripture as Foundation: The Holy Bible remains our ultimate authority, affirming its inerrancy and infallibility in all our content. As 2 Timothy 3:16-17 reminds us, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."
  • Human Oversight: All AI-generated content undergoes thorough vetting and editing by our ministry team to ensure alignment with our faith.
  • Denominational Alignment: We ensure all content aligns with our Wesleyan perspective and statement of faith.
  • Holy Spirit Guidance: We rely on prayerful discernment in all our content creation processes, seeking God's wisdom. As James 1:5 encourages, "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."

Benefits of AI Integration:

  • Efficiency: AI streamlines our workflow, allowing us to create more resources for spiritual edification of our Chattanooga (and beyond) community.
  • Customization: We can produce tailored content to meet diverse needs within our church family.
  • Creativity Enhancement: AI serves as a tool to augment, not replace, human creativity and insight in our ministry.

Our Commitment to Responsible Use:

At Faith Community Wesleyan Church-Chattanooga, we recognize the importance of critical thinking and digital literacy in the age of AI. Our team continually educates itself on AI's capabilities and limitations, ensuring its use aligns with our mission and values. We are reminded of Romans 12:2, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you can test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Transparency and Accountability:

This disclosure reflects our commitment to transparency. While AI assists in our content creation, it does not make decisions or generate content without human oversight. The ultimate responsibility for all published material rests with our ministry team at Faith Community Wesleyan Church-Chattanooga.

Our Purpose:

By harnessing AI technology, we aim to more effectively educate, equip, and empower Christ-followers in Chattanooga and beyond. Our goal is to foster mature believers who can fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) in today's digital age.

In all things, we affirm the supremacy of our Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - over any human-made technology. Our use of AI at Faith Community Wesleyan Church-Chattanooga is always in service to His eternal purpose of salvation, healing, and reconciliation through Jesus Christ. As Colossians 3:23-24 instructs us, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving."

Through this collaborative approach with AI, we strive to create content that is original, insightful, and deeply rooted in our faith. Every piece of content on our website is the result of this careful process of AI assistance, human review, and spiritual discernment. We believe this method allows us to harness the best of technology while ensuring that the heart and soul of our message remain authentically human and divinely inspired.
