Rev. Denore and map of Haiti - Faith Community Wesleyan Church-Chattanooga's Global Mission Focus.

Reverend Rosemond Denore, Vice Superintendent and Pastor of the Wesleyan Churches at Port Margot and Limbe, leads churches that are making a significant impact. The Wesleyan Church of Haiti was started in 1942 by a native family in Port Margot. After several organizational transitions, the movement became the 'Eglise Wesleyenne d Haiti' and currently oversees five districts of 150 churches and 15,000 members.

Their ministries, including Children, Youth, Men, and Women, are not just about spiritual growth, but also about serving the community. Their social ministries, which serve schools and hospitals, are a testament to their commitment to humanitarian work. Some of their partners include Global Partners, World Hope, Hope International, The Tear Fund, and Ond Child Mother.

Limbé (Haitian Creole: Lenbe) is a commune in the Limbé Arrondissement, in the Nord department of Haiti. With a population of 32200 inhabitants (2003 census), it is the second-most important city in this department after Cap-Haïtien.

Port-Margot is home to about 37,000 Haitians who are mostly of Protestant faith. Most of them live a simple life, relying heavily on the municipality's many rivers for their livelihood.

For Global Partners (globalpartnersonline.org), missionaries Don and Cheri Floyd, their unique journey has brought them to their current stage of life, serving in Papua New Guinea (PNG). From “small” beginnings just six weeks into marriage to experiencing the faithfulness of God time and time again as they prepare to send their youngest son off to college about 30 years later, their story is one of unwavering commitment and faith. Their story demonstrates a deep understanding of this mission that matters, a love for their Papua New Guinea friends and community, and a commitment to what God has called them to do.

Don is a carpenter. He supports the Papua New Guinea Wesleyan Church by building, maintaining, and training men in these skills. Cheri is a keen supporter of women’s ministries in Papua New Guinea. The Floyds are passionate about community development, including health, education, access to technology, and clean water projects.

Beginning on February 14, 2022, Cheri began her service as regional director for Pacific-Southeast Asia—and she’s the first woman serving in that region to do so. In this role, she facilitates the work of missionaries and national leaders seeking to reach over 600,000,000 people, the vast majority of whom do not have a personal relationship with Christ.

The Gideons International

The Gideons International

Happy children with New Testaments from The Gideons International's worldwide Bible distribution."

The Gideons International (gideons.org) is an Association of Christian business and professional men and their wives dedicated to telling people about Jesus through associating for service, sharing personal testimony, and providing Bibles and New Testaments.

Members of The Gideons International personally witness and distribute God’s Word to police, fire, and medical personnel; prisoners; military personnel; students in the fifth grade and above; and those with whom they interact daily. Gideons and Auxiliary also place Scriptures in critical locations, including hotels, motels, hospitals, convalescent homes, medical offices, domestic violence shelters, prisons, and jails.

The Gideons International, a beacon of faith since 1908, is a testament to the power of dedication. Today, they stand as a global force, with over 269,500 Gideons and Auxiliary, and a multitude of supporters, in 200 countries, territories, and possessions.

These dedicated individuals have given their time and resources to make it possible for others to learn about the love of God by giving them access to His Word. They have placed and distributed more than 2 billion Bibles and New Testaments around the world, a testament to  commitment to the commandment, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19)
